Nice view and nice Fish and chips.

We loved this little restaurant in a boat on the canal. Staff very friendly, small selection of dinner dishes, but all done well. The steak and fries that I had were excellent.

A very atmospheric place with delicious food in the middle of a tourist promenade! I managed to drop my phone between the deck boards, and the sweet young man who served our table delivered it safely and safely to the hotel on his bicycle after closing. I hope we didn't have to dismantle the deck! Thanks for the delicious food and this little adventure ;)

a perfect lunch at in the heart of Copenhagen. the food was beautifully prepared and exactly what you hope for from a great seafood spot. the atmosphere made it even better, a great playlist in the background and genuinely charming staff who made the whole experience feel relaxed & welcoming. definitely a place to come back to in the next visit to Copenhagen!

Overall around 3-4 stars. The food was nice. I really liked the pearl barley (hard to find and takes long to cook at home) but the pumpkin soup was too spicy and the flavor got lost. The setting is fun. You eat on a boat which is a nice touch. Service was average, not bad but quite indifferent. One downside: early bird's menu listed langoustines as the main (I have a screenshot) but we were told it was a mistake and got white fish instead. That felt misleading especially since it was one of the reasons we chose the place.

This Saturday I was invited by my daughter in Nyhavn and we therefore chose to visit restaurant Oranje as we both love fish and seafood. We had seen lots of pictures on the internet, but we were still surprised by the very cozy and maritime atmosphere, and not least the delicious food! We both got fish and chips and good beer and white wine. Huge recommendation.

This was, in my experience, the best place for fish and chips in Copenhagen! The whimsy of eating on a boat was also amazing. ;) As it is located directly in one of the most touristy areas of Copenhagen, I was a bit worried about the quality of the food at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. When we arrived, we had the option of sitting on the top or bottom of the boat, which we chose the bottom as there were less people and it was much calmer. Do be prepared for a crowd, especially if you come around dinner time.

My little brother and I had a wonderful time on the Oranje barge. The place is stunning, the food absolutely delicious, and the service top-notch! Special mention to our amazing waiter (whose name I don't know) who took such good care of us all evening. Thanks again, Oranje team! 🫶🏼

The Oranje restaurant in Copenhagen offers a unique experience on a historic ship dating back to 1898, moored at the tranquil end of Nyhavn. It impresses with its maritime authenticity, fresh cuisine, and relaxed atmosphere away from the main tourist crowds.

Went to Oranje Nyhavn with my girlfriend this weekend – highly recommended! They do a really good job with their seafood, and the atmosphere is just super cozy. Good wine, good beers and good service. I'm definitely going there again this summer. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Nyhavn.
