We ate their Christmas special dinner, with six courses where we didn't know what it entailed. It was exciting and very delicious. The restaurant is warmly and cosily decorated and the waiters are considerate

The food was not to my taste as such, but I think something was done with the presentation and the ingredients were good, but they use some herbs and spices in the Asian cuisine which are not to my taste. My husband thinks it tasted good and a good experience with their tasting menu and fun to try something new.

Lovely food served by attentive and friendly staff. Enjoyed 10 wonderful and well-prepared dishes with a delicious side consisting of chips and cucumber/avocado dip. Only criticism is too large portions, but it is only a joy. So stop by and enjoy a wonderful dinner in a class of its own.

In connection with my work at home and abroad, I eat out probably approx. 100 days a year. I often choose Asian restaurants when possible. Furthermore, I have had a partner who was born and raised in Asia, where she had a restaurant in Thailand. So Thai food has been everyday food for me. At Hanzō Esbjerg, I am offered a 6-course menu, and never, and I mean never, have I encountered such a tasty and successful meal. Normally I rarely give 5 stars, as in my eyes it takes a lot, but here I would have given 6 if possible. When I give this high rating, it is due to a combination of the quality of the food on all parameters – taste, texture and appearance, in addition to the servings where the food was presented, and to top it all off by the staff. Consideration was also given to the fact that I do not eat raw fish, and the chef was able to handle this to the fullest extent. All this taken into account and juxtaposed with a good price, means that the next time I come to Esbjerg, you will be able to find me at Hanzō. This is also because the envelope price stays within the financial framework I have at my job, which reflects very well what I myself would pay for a meal. I would say that the whole idea of ​​the "food club" as I read it, is fully fulfilled at Hanzō. I hope they continue this strategy so that ordinary people with a relatively low income can still have a dining experience beyond the ordinary. My assessment is based on the fact that I have a budget of up to approx. DKK 300 per day, so perhaps you will easily be able to find the same good experience for a cover price of DKK 5-800 or more, but if I had the money, I would never spend it on a meal. My warmest recommendations from a tourist bus driver and former cafeteria tenant.

The restaurant is not designed according to the concept. Too small tables for too many plates. The food is ok but nothing beyond what you would be able to find elsewhere. Their wine and cocktail menus are not worth the money.
