Hanzō Esbjerg Esbjerg

There were two of us for the Chinese New Year event and the experience was quite average. The food was nice enough but for that price I had expected a bit more of a ‘Wow’ experience. Everything didn’t really taste that much besides the duck. The sauces for the main course were far too sweet, both the peanut and the BBQ were a bit marmalade-like. The duck was really good though and together with the lemon meringue the two best things we had. The drink I had had far too much lemon so it was too sour. In general the flavours weren’t that well balanced I think. We sat quite close to another table and when the waiter served the other table I felt like I was close to hitting her on the head several times. So it wasn’t super nice. I don’t think I’ll be back, but if you’re into sharing and Asian fusion then you might want to give it a try :)

Best food in town and great service
