Great burgers and the crispiest fries we've ever eaten. Large portions; our kids and we loved them. The owner was really very nice and accommodating! We ate there three times during our 14-day vacation.

This is the only place to eat. It's not a 5-star restaurant, but the people are very friendly and the food is delicious. Burgers, fish, and ice cream. They also serve a variety of drinks. Prices are reasonable for this place.

27/08/2025: Small quiet hotel, comfortable with exceptionally good breakfast. Rooms are small and not ideal for business people, but location is good and town is picturesque and calm. Beautiful lake

12/09/2025: Having only arrived in Haderslev about an hour after 4 hours of travelling we found CAFE MAD. As seems the norm with Danes in the day & a half we've been here the staff were pleasant, polite & welcoming. We had their version of good old fish & chips - it was gorgeous & plentiful, so much so that my partner had to leave some. We would recommend anyone visiting Haderslev to "hunt down" CAFE MAD - IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. Darren & Dawn from the UK.
