Hirtshals Fiskehus Hjørring

We were here on August 5, 2025, during our Denmark vacation. It was already quite busy around 2 p.m. We had to wait about five minutes for a table. The service was very nice and friendly. The food took a while to arrive, but that's no surprise given the crowds. We had two plaice with potatoes, and the kids had the fish frikadellen with fries. Everyone got a soft drink. We paid €88, which is perfectly reasonable. The food was very good. Really fresh, and the portions were plenty big. The only negative thing I noticed was that the drinks were served in plastic cups.

Absolute insider tip: delicious fish dishes. Okay, it's self-service and you'll have to wait a bit for your food...but it's definitely worth it. Plenty of seating, lovely view of the harbor. Very friendly team...thanks

Nice place, nice food, long wait

A really excellent fish restaurant right on the harbor. The staff are super friendly. Parking is also good, especially when it's not rush hour. A generous portion, and we finished off the meal with a delicious ice cream after the delicious fish. We'll be happy to come back. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍

Delicious fish and seafood recipes. Self-service outside. You'd have to be a little lucky that a cruise ship isn't landing.

Self-service and very busy But the food was AMAZING

Fish and chips plus drinks are typically a bit more expensive (2 adults, 1 child) for around €70. But the quality is good. The fish is freshly caught, and the atmosphere at the harbor is fantastic.

El pescado fue un poco decepcionante y no lo que esperaría para un restaurante de peces. La comida era promedio y lo que se puede encontrar en muchas cafeterías.

Der stod fish & Chips og stjerneskud på menuen. Det har vi prøvet en del gange efterhånden Fish & Chips var denne gang lidt tørre og lidt mindre crispy end de plejer. Pommes frites var lige lovlig grove og nogle af dem havde ikke fået nok. De var ikke helt på niveau men dressing smagte fint Stjerneskud så ud som de plejer men de ville altså blive løftet en stjerne eller to, hvis man udskiftede de nærmest gennemsigtige lage-rejer med håndpillet rejer. Rejerne falder altså i gennem - især når man ved at det pilles masser af gode rejer i Hirtshals
