Hong Cheng København

One of the best Chinese restaurants. I was very surprised how good the food is. Staff is also very friendly.

We had a lengthy discussion at our table about how to rate this place. The thing is, that when you’re rating restaurants for Google, you have to make a relative judgement based on other restaurants in the same tier. Meaning that I am obviously not going to rate Hong Cheng, to Geranium or to your local pizzaria. You rate Hong Cheng, against other Chinese buffets. And based on that, it’s a four. Why? Because of the selection of items. They got everything a Chinese buffet needs. The menu is large, and all the items on the menu is average at best, but the selection is large. They got everything you need. Many fried dishes, curries, desserts, Mongolian barbecue, veggies, sauces - everything. And everything is average at best. So that’s why it’s a four. You’re rating it towards other Chinese buffets, and since 99% of them are average, the grade is average.
