The food is the most real, well made and just perfect there can be. They bake the bread, make the jams, cook the ham, do everything from scratch in the oldschool way. The dinner dishes was sublime. Breaded and panfried Plaice is served all over Skagen, but the one we had here was next level, there is probably not a better to be had in Denmark! The owner is a rare case of a Chef with a knowlage spanning decades and refuses to compromise on anything from breakfast to dinner, a rare gem of a Chef and a class woman. Everything we ate here was as good as oldschool, authentic homemade cooking can be. All the produce they use is of the highest quality. As a Chef myself, this is one of the Realest experiances i have ever had and a was honored to be alowed into the retro kitchen for a look. The kitchen with the 50years old stove is the cleanest kitchen i have ever seen. My only regret is not booking a longer stay, but we will come back next year.

The rooms were a lot better than on the pictures from the website! They have this 70s aesthetic, but are not old in cleaning, care and utility. The shower was great, the bed super comfortable, and the room plenty ventilated and nice. The ceilings were low though! And so we had a few headbanging incidents (not the concert kinds). The breakfast was SO wonderful. The mood and service just fantastic, they even played hits from the 70s. So cute. It proper feels like a throw back in time, but in all the best ways. The staff is super nice and friendly. You can really feel the heart going into the place. A great stay!

A really wonderful unique and authentic family hotel. A time capsule, like being at your grandmother's, it's really well done. The food was really delicious, served on the finest porcelain. We would really recommend the hotel, it's a dream for an overnight stay with an experience.
