The breakfast is good. But the rooms need to be looked after a little more. And then the cleaning staff should probably take a course, got a room with long hairs all over the floor. The shower had black grout until the hot water came on, then the dirt came out. I've been happy to stay here, but last time was a bad experience

Spacious rooms but a bit plain and in need of renovation. Could sense moisture damage in the bathroom. Otherwise good facility with fresh public areas. The gym is clean and tidy and has a relatively large training area and no worn out stuff, but very little training equipment, as is usually the case in hotels. The breakfast has a small selection, but is good and fresh. The outdoor seating area overlooks the marina.

Nice hotel for the price, but it could do with a little makeover. 😉😉 Maybe it should be 3 stars, but they get 4. Good location, service and a nice menu at reasonable prices.

Nice hotel, felt clean and fresh. The reviews about uncleanlyness must be old news. Very near a bath beach with very nice sea view. Good car parking. Near the Vedbæk railway station.

13/12/2025: Lovely evening with really good and attentive service. Food and wine were just as they should be :)
29/10/2025: The first course which was scallops was far below par basically tasteless. It went on from there. The venison was good. The service was atrocious. Took approximately 30 minutes to get service between courses and took approximately 25 minutes to get our first cocktail. Our cocktail came at the same time as our first course so quite a disorganized. We were so impatient at the end we couldn’t even have a coffee. We just waited so long between courses and service the Bill of course took another 45 minutes.

01/05/2026: My wife called it another version of Blinkende Lygter. Nice staff, nice location, nice atmosphere, big portions, but the fish is not fried in butter, and the asparagus in the chicken salad is completely limp from the can. OK food but not for the price
25/04/2026: If you are looking for classic Danish coziness in the most beautiful surroundings, then Jægerhytten ved Sjælsø in Birkerød is an absolute must. We had a fantastic experience with food that was straight out of the cupboard and an atmosphere that is full of history. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view over the water
