We just had a 3 day stay at Hotel Mayfair and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My partner has recently had to start using a wheelchair (after our booking was made) so while the Hotel is not designed with wheel chair access in mind as it is an old building the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, helping with our bags or my helping my partner from the wheelchair to tackle steps. The staff were also fine with me taking breakfast up to my partner in the room so that she didn't have to come down when she was in too much pain which was really appreciated.
On the topic of breakfast they have a great selection, with the sausages, bacon and pastries being particular highlights. The room was clean and a good size, and like the rest of the hotel the funky, colourful Scandinavian decor was really enjoyable.
The hotel is located in a great spot a short walk away from the station, Tivoli Gardens (unfortunately it was closed when we went) and the city centre. There are also other aneminties nearby like a super market, 7-Eleven and a lovely little bakery called Better Bakery who does lovely Brown Sugar Cakes.
Overall we loved our time in Copenhagen and hope we can return soon. And if we do we'll definitely try to get a room at Hotel Mayfair again.
Forgot to mention that the staff were also able to provide sewing kits for my partner and a couple of plug adaptors for us (neither of us have travelled abroad in years and we didn't even think to bring our own) which was a great help.
Overall the staff were amazing!!

A very conveniently located classic, simple hotel. Staff very obliging and friendly. Excellent breakfast offering- you won't go hungry here. A new outdoor area was being constructed whilst we were there in Dec which should be great for alfresco breakfast in the summer.
Very comfortable beds. Efficient shower in bathroom.

The rooms are small but they were immaculately clean, I mean spotless! The breakfast was absolutely fabulous and the staff was so helpful. I am very picky about hotel stays, and Hotel Mayfair was a true delight

This is a cozy and well-decorated hotel having clean and tidy facilities, located near Copenhagen Central Station and the city's main local attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Hot water was available free of charge at the reception, and a kettle can also be rented for a fee.
We highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is very well located, close to everything, even on foot, and also to the train station, which is really convenient. The option to leave your luggage after checking out and pick it up later is also a great feature.
The bathroom is small and the shower water pressure is low. You can also hear quite a bit of outside noise, which might be bothersome for light sleepers. At check-in, we didn't really receive any information about the hotel, such as the fact that there's a small fitness room.

Really great hotel. Nice and patient staff. Cozy room with just the right vibe 🌟 On the same street there is a fantastic bakery, a cool coffee shop and a Danish restaurant. We spent 3 night here and it won't be the last time.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Mayfair. The room was spacious, comfortable and, well presented. The hotel is in a great location, right by the station and an easy walk into the centre. The best part of our stay though was the staff. From booking to check-out, everyone we spoke to was brilliant and could not do enough to make sure we had a great experience. All members of staff on reception were so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We loved the room size (no luggage though so the lack of floor space didn’t matter to us) and decor of the whole hotel is amazing. Felt so good to be in this space for a few days. Breakfast was amazing, such a great selection of organic and locally made food, so many healthy nutritional options which was a great help not feeling in best health. The staff are really friendly and endeavoured to help when we requested it.
We did have a few issues though. On the Friday and Saturday night I was kept awake into early hours by really loud base we assumed was from one of the local clubs, which went on until way past 2am. On the third night it sounded like someone arranging furniture in the room above us late at night for quite a while. It’s not something that could be remedied in the middle of the night but would be handy to know at book in if disturbances like this can be avoided. Sharing this publicly so anyone booking can take this into account and something could be done about it in the long term. I’ve aread other responses about street noise and having a room facing the courtyard…ours was into the courtyard and had another noise issue. Sunday evening was quiet and finally had a full night sleep, albeit entangled in bed covers (not conductive to ease of cuddling as a couple on a romantic short break 😂).
We only had two single duvets inside of one big one which meant they didn’t keep us covered the first night and were light weight. We asked for a full sized duvet the next morning and was told housekeeping would sort it out but returned to the room in the evening to no change. Paul walked over to reception and came back with one which turned out to be another single, went back to reception to say it wasn’t a full size and was given another single…so we tried to make do with four single duvets, which, whilst was a laugh, kept falling off the bed in the night and entangling us. At least the extra layer added warmth and weight as the heating turned to full wasn’t very warm, the room wasn’t uncomfortably cold though and we prefer cooler to too hot (if we had a cover that covered us). A blanket for extra warmth and weight would be good, especially in an eco conscious hotel (which we really appreciate). The duvet situation wasn’t something we could sort out throughout the night despite 24hr reception as asked for help and it didn’t result in a great solution, plus you don’t want to be having to get dressed and walk outside to reception throughout the night for help.
We didn’t mind the strip clubs, whilst we can understand how the images of ladies in lingerie through the reception windows could be off putting to some, we thought it looked fairly tasteful, especially in the morning sunlight. Think it might have been the gentleman’s club under the building that was the offender with the music too… very slow repetitive base, and their opening hours were Friday/Saturday till 7am…which fits with the time the music was on and in case those opening hours are of use to anyone 😉 This is more discrete though, didn’t realise we were perusing the info about a gentleman’s club until I stepped back and read the canopy 😂 There’s a rather handy erotic toy and clothes shop on the block too. Plenty of Chinese restaurants and takeaways and we really enjoyed a shawarma meal at the kebab shop across the road too after our late arrival…perfect for hungry travellers!
The location is perfect, so close to the station. We thoroughly enjoyed the city, travelling by train, metro, bus, boat bus, bike and on foot. We swam in the harbour and had a sunrise swim at the beach thanks to easy access and use of transport. Enjoyed an amazing sauna with saunagus. There’s even a Lidl within minutes for snacks and Kambucha. Loved the locally made Kambucha on sale at reception but did also buy whist out to save a few kr. Had a last drink of craft ale at the railway pub before leaving and was treated to live music to end the trip. There’s a few lovely little bars serving craft ales nearby too, perfect for a quiet drink and light snacks.
The breakfast is amazing!
