Hotel Tønderhus Tønder

Cozy hotel/inn, but showing signs of wear and tear. Was told that the hotel will be renovated until January 2025. Worn out bathroom and dismissive staff in the restaurant. The morning bread was a boring bake-off, here we had hoped for "real baker's rolls" at a price of NOK 149 per envelope for breakfast.

Friendly staff, cozy premises, nice and clean rooms of a good size, good food trays - and fantastically delicious and well-prepared food. And a super good location with a pedestrian street and attractions within walking distance. Can definitely be recommended - we will definitely be back :-)

Tønderhus has really given us a wonderful weekend experience. Nice big rooms and good beds. Delicious breakfast buffet and exciting 2 and 3 course dinners. They have fully met our expectations.

A lovely hotel with delicious food. Especially the dessert was amazing. It was parfait ice cream with licorice and fruit. Think we will come again

The service was bad, we waited an hour and a half for the dessert.

Ok food, nothing outstanding but ok

We had bought a stay with 'black sun' and tapas at the hotel. My impression is that the hotel was understaffed both Saturday night and Sunday morning. The breakfast buffet was not filled until I approached the reception and asked them to find an employee to do it. Saturday's tapas were served with packaged rye bread. A little home baking would have done wonders.

Ok friendly service, 2 course menu, super good Southern Jutland coffee table, well half-frozen cakes that are not followed up on when it runs out, two machines for coffee, which is a problem for the morning buffet, long wait to get coffee, otherwise okay buffet!

The room, which was an upgrade to one with a terrace, smelled strongly of mould/mould from previous water damage, as the room is almost in a hole in the ground. Bathroom horribly the shower curtain can't reach the floor so it's all messed up and you have to dry up with the clean towels.... the toilet board is yellow and disgusting, the exhaust has almost never been cleaned here so it's full of wool. So get a room in another wing if you absolutely must stay there. The breakfast and the staff were, on the other hand, very nice. We didn't dare visit the restaurant because of the bad reviews.
