Very tasty food and very authentic restaurant😍

Tried the spicy chicken (Doro Wat) with their traditional injera. The owner lady mentioned that Doro Wat (spicy Ethiopian chicken stew) considered the “country’s national dish”, which made it interesting to try. The chicken itself was very flavorful and well-spiced. However, the injera (their traditional sour flatbread) was not really to my taste. It has a soft texture and a quite sour, slightly acidic flavor. I personally prefer something more crispy, (like Danish sourdough bread), so this combination didn’t work that well for me. That said, this is a traditional preparation, and I can understand why many people would enjoy it. There were also plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. It’s worth trying if you’re curious about Ethiopian cuisine.

The atmosphere was super calm and cozy, very intimate and perfect for a nice chat. The food was delicious, every seasoning was amazing, and there were plenty of very tasty vegan options as well. Highly recommended; the service was also very fast and incredibly friendly!

Love this local gem. Run by an amazing woman who does everything on her own and still manages to get amazing food on the table very quickly. It’s cheap, tasty and wholesome here.

Best Eritrean/Ethiopian food. I used to live in the DMV area, so I’ve had a lot of Eritrean/Ethiopian food and have pretty high standards. This restaurant truly impressed me. The flavours are amazing, rich, and authentic, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. The injera is perfect and the dishes are full of flavour. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is great. This is easily my favourite restaurant in Copenhagen and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Ethiopian food.
