Jettes Diner Svendborg

Jettes Diner is a strange place. Here in Svendborg I think it's a place you either love or hate. Sometimes the food is really good, other times it's the opposite. Sometimes you can get kangaroo meat and that's actually a bit fun to try, but of course there are also all the other common dishes on the menu, typical café food!

Good place to eat, most of what we ordered was delicious.

Really good atmosphere and vibe. The food tasted exactly as it should and the wait time was about 20 minutes even though it was very busy. The service was also really good.

Best burgers we’ve ever had. Everything fresh.

I have usually been happy with Jettes Diner. On my last visit the service from the young people was good and polite, but the quality of the food has unfortunately declined. I ordered a burger and fried potatoes. Many of the potatoes were completely burnt and black. The ones that weren't burnt tasted good, but it's bad to lose 10-15% of your potatoes. It looked like someone had taken a bite out of my burger bun! The picture shows what the burger looked like when I took it out of the packaging.

Way too much bread for the steak in the burger, a big thick slice of tomato and a little pickled cucumber. Lots of salad that would have made the rabbit happy. Bacon was super salty and dripping with fat. Fried potatoes were diced, and completely floury inside, almost gritty like they had been from freezing. Total disappointment after not having been to Jettes Diner for a very long time.

Nice burger! … and now a year later I ate here again, and it was again an excellent burger!

A cozy diner with really delicious food. Everything is homemade, from the burger buns to the mayonnaise. Big-city flair in a medieval "hygge town". Like eating with friends.
