Kanal-Caféen København

We made a reservation at this typical Danish restaurant at 2:30 p.m. We arrived 20 minutes late (it was raining and the taxi was delayed), and the waitress who greeted us almost didn't serve us; she wasn't friendly or helpful at all. The food wasn't bad, although the dishes were presented with a lot of vegetables, which, in my opinion, "overshadowed" the main ingredient. The burger (we weren't asked about the doneness) was overcooked, some edges even a bit burnt. The fried Camembert cheese was better. They don't bring out the dishes in a logical order; in fact, they brought out the main courses first, then the starters. €200 for 4 people. The interior decor dates back more than a century; it's odd, to say the least, but I don't think I'd go back; nothing remarkable.

Super delicious food, we came here when it was culture night in Copenhagen. It's a small cozy place, the food was excellent and the service was top notch, however we were here on a very busy day when the cafe was completely full so there was a lot of noise and very little space to move around. We had open sandwiches and roast pork and the food was top class. We will definitely try to come again on an evening when it's not so busy

Came here for lunch to escape rain while waiting for Christianborg stables to open. What a place! Cute, historical sailing themed. Food is excellent, cute, and affordable. Extremely nice staff. This place is a gem. I couldn't be happier I found it.

Lovely atmosphere, classic open sandwiches and unbeatable service. We ended up putting two wrong ticks on the menu - and didn't get the tartare we had originally been looking for. The mistake was definitely our own, but the waiter corrected it resolutely - without discussion. Everything for the guests. We will definitely come again.

Very cozy and fantastically good food.

Siamo andati qui per il pranzo del mio compleanno, il 5 giugno. Il posto era davvero elegante sia come si presentava la struttura e sia dentro tutto molto ben curato. Noi abbiamo ordinato:"Il Piatto" che è una combo con tutti i piatti tipici danesi : dalle aringhe, al roastbeff, alla loro tipica insalata di pollo e tanto altro. Devo dire che è stato molto buono! Ho apprezzato particolarmente le aringhe 🤩
