Incredibly cozy place on Amager. The atmosphere is fantastic. The best way I can describe it is that the place resembles a mix between an Irish/British/Scottish pub and Danish inn atmosphere. With gizmos and frills as decorations everywhere. It is a nirvana of coziness and good atmosphere. The service is also top notch. Very attentive and sweet staff who have a smile and a good mood for everyone. The food tasted good. We had wienerschnitzel and it was delicious and full of flavor.

Participated in evening event with Oktoberfest as theme. Super good food. Really delicious food and there was plenty for everyone. The service was top notch and there was full attention to the guests throughout the evening. The atmosphere was created through a completely formidable guitar soloist who knew his job. A thoroughly great evening and once again I have been confirmed in how good a place Restaurant Kareten is.

En sjov og anderledes oplevelse. Var ligesom at komme ind i en helt anden verden. Rigtig “værtshus” stemning. Super lækker mad til helt rimelige priser

Aftensmaden er virkelig den bedste og der er virkelig hyggeligt på Kareten. Jeg kan varmt anbefale Karstens mad. Vi har været der en del gange og man får mad i bedste kvalitet og virkelig god service Stor ros.

02/11/2024: The food is a mess and points in far too many directions. For example, chicken soup with pieces of mango in it. The wine list is quite limited and you can only get 2 different red wines by the glass. Chaotic atmosphere, with super bad acoustics, where people almost shout across the tables at times when they can't hear each other. Don't count on being able to sit at a two-person table and expect to be able to hear each other in normal conversation. We waited 45-50 minutes between the first 3 courses out of a 7-course menu. When we pointed it out, the dishes suddenly came out like dirt from a baby calf. The waiter was really service minded and the service was what drew the whole experience up.
26/10/2024: Very good restaurant with an excellent choice of wine. We had a really good time !

05/11/2024: This is a street food market. Lots of different varieties of food and drinks. Great atmosphere, best place to watch sunset.
01/11/2024: Great place for a variety of food from different cultures. Definitely worth a visit especially during summer. Got there early when it opened up and easy to get around while it was quiet and not so many people.
