We ordered 2 beef shawarmas (€9 each). The meat they use in the roll is fillets on top of each other, not the industrial roll of dubious origin that is used in Spain. Even so, the meat was quite strong and had a strange flavor... I doubt it was beef.

My go to shawarma for more than 15 years. Consistency is key and kebabistan is one of few who understands this concept.

Kebab was good but when I went there and ordered, the staff wasn’t too friendly and aped me in Arabic when I couldn’t speak Danish and was a bit slow due to the Danish menu signs at first, thinking I wouldn‘t understand them. If you want to eat sitting, I don‘t recommend this place, since there is basically only one bench outside, which is definitely occupied in rush hours. Other people we met there mentioned better stores to eat at, which also seem to have more and better seating opportunities than Kebabistan. But if you really want to eat there, please take the mentioned points into consideration.

Great place, friendly staff and the food is delicious. One of the best in Copenhagen. Can only recommend this place. Just give it a try.

19/11/2024: Came to Zafran whilst on a weekend visit to Copenhagen As a Brit who has never had Persian cuisine travelling with a Persian girl she suggested we visit here and we were not disappointed! We ordered 4 mains and 4 sides to share between the two of us and everything on the table was delicious, the lamb was so tender it fell off the bone as soon as the knife touched it and it just melted in your mouth. The veal... Was divine 🤤 everything was great, the food, the service, where we were sat in the restaurant (we had a window seat and it was just nice to watch the world go by as we ate and chatted) When we come back to Copenhagen, we will 100% be coming back to Zafran
