We came from Istanbul, and you won't find this kind of döner quality anywhere else in Turkey. The owners are decent people. You should definitely give it a try.

★★★★★ Kebabistan is not just a kebab place. It’s an institution. An attraction. A cultural monument. If the Louvre sold durum, it would still have something to learn from Kebabistan. I went in expecting to get some food and left feeling like a new person. The meat? Perfect. Not just “good kebab meat” – I’m talking about meat that makes you rethink your entire relationship with food. Every bite felt like a little message from the universe: You’re in the right place. The bread was so good that I seriously considered ordering an extra one just to have something to think about later. The vegetables were fresh, the sauce was insane, and the combination of everything was so well-balanced that the Michelin Guide should apologize for not already giving the place 17 stars. And the portions? Kebabistan doesn’t say “here’s some food.” Kebabistan says: “You’ll eat like a king.” The staff also deserves praise. Fast, friendly and efficient. You don't feel like you're ordering food. You feel like you're being welcomed by people who have dedicated their lives to ensuring that humanity doesn't have to go to bed hungry. I've had a lot of kebabs in my life. I've tried places I thought were good. I've tried places I thought were really good. But Kebabistan has completely changed my standards. After Kebabistan, "good kebab" is no longer a compliment. It's a bare minimum. If you're thinking about going to Kebabistan, don't even think about it. Just go. Your stomach already knows what's going to happen. 10/10. 5 stars. 100%. Would eat there again even if I had to walk all the way. Kebabistan is not a place you visit. Kebabistan is a place you make a pilgrimage to.

This Kebabistan is a cultural institution at this point. You know those old bodegas that have stories about how H.C Anderson used to go there with his friends and perhaps once him and Charles Dickens got into a fist fight, right over at That table. Kebabistan is just like that. All walks of Copenhagen life meet here, Jazz musicians, Literature folks, Movie actors, Drunks, Politicians, Pocket thieves, you name it, you’ll find them here dabbing their Pita Shawarma up with the delicious, freely available chili sauce placed in every corner of the room. If you’re lucky, you’ll get an improvised rhyme thrown at you from behind the counter, mine went something like - “You said extra spice, I say that hat looks really nice. Here you go NEXT!”

The meat quality is very good, comparable to the high-quality lamb doner kebabs in Türkiye. It's a customer satisfaction-focused establishment. The only drawback is the lack of seating.

The best quality meat the shawarma is the best you can get in Copenhagen and I have been around.

This is the place where I had dinner during my two-day visit to Copenhagen. It's run by two brothers-in-law from Konya. I ordered döner kebab in Turkish salmon bread. The portions were fantastic. It was a generously filled and delicious sandwich. The only problem is that there's no seating. You can get takeout and eat it in one of the many beautiful parks nearby.
