Khun Juk Oriental København

The food was good (too pricey for what it was though) but the service was crazy slow and chaotic. We got our starters, then had to wait almost 2 hours for the mains (and only after asking for it) - not a lot of focus on service there, but the food is good.

The food at Khun Juk, a Thai restaurant, was fair in taste. However, when I visited, the waiting time for food was quite long about 1.5 to 2 hours.

How to ruin a chef’s otherwise great food? With completely disorganized service. Everything started well but two hours we had only been served our starter. The soup arrived after asking for it, but 30 minutes after we finished it we had to go to the counter ourselves to ask for the main course. Even getting water meant carrying our bottles to the counter. Why don’t you look for these little things when serving the food? By the time the mains came, the restaurant was closing, and plates were being cleared away before one of us had even finished eating. Around us, tables stayed dirty and chairs were left scattered, despite plenty of staff walking past. The one right next to us stood uncleared for an hour! It felt like there were lots of people working, but no one actually in charge. Too many young staff without direction or leadership. The food was very good - creative east-meets-west twists, large portions, and great flavors - but the lack of organization turned what should have been a great evening into a frustrating one.

Very good service in a beautiful, quiet restaurant, the cuisine is simple and mastered, the vegetables were crisp and very good, perhaps missing the addition of a vegetable protein to the menu but nothing to say otherwise very charming place that I recommend!

Primera vez aquí e impresionado 😋 Tuvimos una cálida bienvenida y conocimos al propietario, que es un tipo muy agradable. El entorno es acogedor en un patio en Nyhavn, así que la ubicación es perfecta! Tuvimos tostadas de camarón, seis pequeños thaipass, carne de res, pescado entero y más y todo sabía seriamente delicioso 😋 También tuvimos champán y un Domaine Fourrey Chablis cru principal, que era simplemente perfecto. No nos fuimos hambrientos o pobres y todo era simplemente increíble, así que si quieres comida tailandesa deliciosa real a un precio razonable en un entorno acogedor, este es el lugar!

Combinando nuestras dos cosas más queridas - buena comida tailandesa y el distrito de Nyhavn! Fantástico almuerzo con un servicio atento (sin ser intrusivo), bebidas de buena calidad, un entorno limpio, una bonita decoración y deliciosa comida! Las porciones son generosas sin ser abrumadora y la comida sabe muy fresca - sin duda recomendaría y volvería para otra visita.
