Was up for a communal meal so can't say anything about the rooms but the food was great. However the cake with the coffee could have been freshly baked or just lukewarm

Big contrast between the castle itself and the service/food But you don't really get the feeling that it's a castle stay because the food was unfortunately so lacking. The staff was polite enough, but our first experience with the staff when we were checking in wasn't really helpful or understandable that we had some challenges finding what he was looking for.

held our silver wedding anniversary party at Kokkedal Slotshotel on August 2, 2025. Beforehand, we had some good talks with the party coordinator about the food, the party's progress, etc. When the day came, it was bubbles in the castle courtyard before our 70 + guests went up to the knight's hall, where the food and service were top notch. It tasted really delicious, so big praise to the chef, and the staff were extremely skilled at ensuring that no guest lacked anything. It was very, very nice, and we had a magical evening and night, where the knight's hall was transformed into a dance hall with a DJ and a bar with delicious drinks. The guests reported that the rooms at the castle were beautiful. We will be forever grateful for how wonderfully our big day went, and the guests returned with the most wonderful messages. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to have a wall built between the double beds downstairs in the apartments, as guests who don't know each other naturally don't want to sleep in the same room. And it would also be good to have a stair robot (which can be easily put away), as the knight's hall can be difficult to access for wheelchair users. But that doesn't change the fact that it was a magical party in a wonderfully beautiful castle. My and our warmest recommendations.

The best experience you can get for the money in Denmark. Cozy surroundings in the real Danish country. The food was perfect, the atmosphere and the staff!
