Kunsten - Museum of modern Art Aalborg Aalborg

A fantastic museum with very special exhibitions. It's open significantly later on Thursdays, making it particularly pleasant for a leisurely stroll. The café is also highly recommended.

The building by Alvar Aalto is beautiful designed. Museum collection was at time of visit not very interesting.

It is a completely unique museum of art with a unique outdoor facility.

Super nice Picasso exhibition - great that it could be done in Aalborg!!!

We had a really good trip with DSB from Copenhagen to Aalborg! All the staff were nice and provided a good service. In Aalborg it was a pleasure to walk from the train station through the beautiful park to the museum, and there was no end to the good treatment we received at Kunsten, in the shop, reception and the brasserie. Really nice employees who contributed to a fantastic day. Picasso's late works aroused great enthusiasm, and we had a great meal afterwards. A warm recommendation from here with many thanks🌸

Came for the Alvar Aalto building and the Late Picasso exhibition, and neither disappointed. The exhibition was outstanding—the largest of its kind in Scandinavia in 40 years. Museum staff and guides were friendly, approachable, and thoroughly knowledgeable.

An exciting exhibition of Picasso paintings!

I was at Kunsten to see Picasso. A great exhibition. The building itself is smiling and inviting, as is the staff, who were service-minded. I wasn't as enthusiastic about the rest of the exhibition. But tastes and preferences differ. I did get a really good meal in their Brasserie. Catfish and a good glass of white wine. I even got the choice between two white wines. The food was really delicious. However, I was a bit confused when I got to the Brasserie. A sign said, "Find a free table and we'll come and take your order". After I had sat there for a good while, I went up to the "ordering booth". Here was a sign that said "I should find a free table and come up and order and tell you which table number". (freely told) Then they did the rest. A minor thing, but still I can definitely recommend their museum shop. There were some very nice (and expensive) things. Something different than what I've seen before. The staff was very welcoming

Beautiful museum, exhibitions well worth seeing. Parking is a bit of a hassle; if you're lucky, it's not a problem, but there isn't much space. You really need to make a reservation for the restaurant, and you wouldn't do that just for a cup of coffee.
