MEAT Aalborg

The staff was very nice and attentive, but the food took too long, although when it arrived we enjoyed it very much. The music was very loud, we had to shout to hear each other, plus people were also shouting to talk. We ate the symphony menu, the truth is that we were satisfied with everything. I have to highlight the Argentine meat, it was cut by itself. We will be back.

Got a Kobe beef burger. It was nice enough, but for the price and the name kobe I had clearly expected more. It was a little disappointing. Maybe it just lacked salt or a good mayo. Maybe a spoonful of the delicious aioli mayo that I got with the good fries would have done wonders. Because the fries and the mayo were the best. Had a dessert with a standard heavy chocolate cake, a mediocre vanilla ice cream and a large sliced ​​strawberry plus some blackberries. It was also just fine. Don't think I would order those two dishes again.

This was most definitely an experience. Starting with the service, it was outstanding, the staff shows a really good attention to the guests. The food, I tried their ribs, as this often is a place that is skipped easily as a simple dish. It was a simple serving. But the quality of the ribs was high, and their barbeque marinade for it was perfect, a sweet and bitter marinade, not like often met where they are spicy. This marinade allowed for the quality and taste of the meat to shine. For the ribs I had their own potatoes and onion rings, as well as cold barbeque sauce. Their sides are to the smaller size, but they do offered refill of sauce and potatoes. For dessert I had their cheesecake with an Ene Gin and Tonic. I choose the Sea buckthorn (if you have never tried this Gin, do yourself a favor and try it). This was a good match. The cheesecake had a little bit of mint on top, this was perfect as it sometimes have a fresh change in the taste. This would also mean that I think a Gin and Tonic on the Ene Mint gin would be a wonderful match. I looked a lot around during my experience, and saw a lot of great dishes, and other happy guests. Their showmanship for some of the dishes are great, with table side preparation. If I get by again and have time, then another visit well definitely be planned. Please if you go there, book the time to enjoy the experience.

Completely extravegan experience and best service from Sebastian himself.

We had reserved a table for 6 for dinner. And that was needed on a Friday night. The place was full. The staff was efficient and yet friendly and very kind and helpful. They serve the best sourdough bread I have had in a long time. We praised the chef for that. All the food we had was well prepared, with a very nice presentation We dined 5 adults and one teenager, with starters, meat and side dishes for everyone-, wine, beer and water for just under 3000dkr.

Jeg er kræsen som i “jeg elsker kvalitet” … og kreativitet og mennesker der gør sig umage … og det gør alle dem jeg mødte på MEAT en helt almindelig tirsdag i Aalborg…. 4 små bruschetta med røget pulled pork, bagt tomat med burratta, røget laks og anderilette… smukt anrettet, smagfuldt og velkomponeret… Brisket med paneret mashed potatoes, grillet spidskål med parmesan og en lækker hollandaise - aldrig har jeg smagt en bedre version af okesbryst - masser af røg, sødme og bid… 2018 brunello og en tung supertoscaner fra Bolgheri var værdige ledsagere … Præsentationen var indlevende, præget af faglighed og passion - en tjener der kendte sine retter og sine vine …. Regningen måtte jeg tjekke en ekstra gang … inklusiv dobbelt espresso ramte den 894 gode danske kroner …. Jeg er i den grad fan og kommer igen når lejlighed byder sig … tak til Victor og resten af teamet for en magisk aften ….

Fantastisk aften sammen med familien både hvad angår mad og service. Det bliver helt sikkert ikke den sidste aften dette sted, der er så meget mere vi skal smage fra menukortet.
