"I can't give much information. Meal times are very early for Spaniards, and we just sat down to eat a little because they were closing – we weren't hungry. The little we ordered tasted good. The price can't really be discussed, because everything is expensive in Denmark."

Last Saturday night, I had the pleasure of dining at La Vecchia Signora in Copenhagen with a group of friends, and overall, the experience was very positive. Welcome & Atmosphere: From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and genuine. We were greeted by Emanuele, who immediately made a connection upon hearing my surname and started chatting about Sardinia – a lovely personal touch that made us feel right at home. The dining room has a charming Italian feel, cozy and welcoming. We were given a nice, quiet table, perfect for our group to enjoy a relaxed conversation without too much background noise – something we truly appreciated. Menu & Food: The menu is varied and well-curated, clearly inspired by traditional Italian cuisine. We started with a delicious appetizer that was well-balanced and flavorful. Then we ordered four pizzas, and we were all very satisfied: the dough was just right, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was authentic – a true Italian-style pizza. We paired our meal with Su Anima, a Sardinian wine, which was an excellent choice, along with a few soft drinks. Service: Service had its ups and downs. Emanuele – who I believe is one of the owners – stood out for his professionalism, kindness, and passion. He brought a different energy and made us feel cared for. On the other hand, the waitress who partly served us was a bit less attentive. For instance, the appetizer was brought out before the drinks and bread, which disrupted the flow of the meal slightly. Nothing major, but there’s room for improvement. Dessert: The dessert was good, but not outstanding. I liked it, but it didn’t quite reach the level of the other dishes. Still enjoyable, just not as memorable. Final Thoughts: La Vecchia Signora offers an authentic Italian experience, with great food and heartfelt hospitality. Despite a few small service hiccups, it was a pleasant evening overall, and I’d be happy to return.

The food was very good and we really appreciated the nice service.

The wait at the door to be seated should have been an indication of what to expect coming…. The wait to be seated was 15 mins….followed by another 15 mins to get menus….. followed by another 15 mins to place our order….followed by another 15 minutes to receive our drinks….finally after another 20 minutes, our food arrived. We ordered the lasagna and ravioli. The lasagna was mid at best and lacked some basic flavoring such as salt and pepper, even though the waiter said it takes over 10 hours to prepare. The ravioli was also mid at bread. Wrapping up, it took three wave downs and 20 minutes to receive and pay for the bill. Overall it was ok, but for 500Dkk they really missed the mark. I will say the pizza looked really good, and looking back, I should have opted for that.

No one greets you at the door. You just wait until someone has time which for us, took about 20 minutes. From waiting for a table to having our food, it took 1.5 hours. However, food was amazing! Pizzas. Pastas. All brilliant. Water however they charged 100dkk, a pizza was 150dkk. Filtered tap water.... not even aqua panna or san palleg! So you're best ordering another beverage instead of wasting money on 'filtered water'.

When you come in here it doesn't feel like you're in Copenhagen anymore but at home... excellent pizza, excellent service and the place is really nice... 5 stars more than deserved

Purtroppo non ho potuto scegliere tra tanti piatti che sembravano buoni perchè c'è pochissimo per persone intolleranti al lattosio...ma ho visto che un problema generico della Danimarca. Il locale è in centro ed è molto caratteristico. Personale gentilissimo. Pizza buona con impasto leggero e veramente buono. Consigliato

Cenamos el domingo por la noche. El lugar estaba ocupado, la comida era buena. El servicio era un poco lento y el servidor trajo el plato equivocado, que me comí. La lasaña estaba buena, pero había pedido la boloñesa. Un lugar genial.
