We stopped for breakfast at this wonderful bakery during our travels and were absolutely delighted! The charming and cozy atmosphere is enchanting from the moment you walk in – the perfect place to take a short break from the stress of driving. The baked goods were absolutely divine and incredibly delicious, and the coffee was first-class, aromatic, and the perfect pick-me-up for the rest of our journey. The wonderful team deserves special mention: The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, brightening our day with their radiant smiles. A fantastic stop that kicked off our vacation perfectly. We'll definitely be back! 🌟☕🚌

Everyone in Middelfart will be pleasantly surprised at Lagkagehuset. A wonderful atmosphere is complemented by specialty coffees and accompanying pastries. The breakfast rolls, croissants, and delicious breads are, of course, absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended! ☝️

06/04/2026: Stayed a few days here. We had booked a spacious double room, and have to say that it wasn't very spacious. It took some time to get hot water for the first time in the mornings, but after letting quite a bit of water run, we got pretty hot water. But the room was very clean and comfortable, and we were happy with it. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was okay (for vegetarians). They did offer dinner buffet, but it looked like most of the dishes were meaty. The location is great - it is quiet and 30 min drive to Odense or Kolding. The most important thing to note is that the hotel closes at 9PM, so there won't be anyone to help if needed after that.
