When my wife and I were going to have our wedding, based on my general experience of the place's quality and service, I had no doubt that Øland Surdejsbageri should make a bid for our wedding cakes. Instead of a classic wedding cake, we wanted some small wedding cakes made for each individual guest. After some guidance, a lot of testing of cream, base and other delicious things, the result was two types of delicious wedding cakes: a classic chocolate - vanilla cake and a Mango - Passion cake. Both the guests and ourselves were really impressed and satisfied with the result.

This is probably the best bakery I have visited in my life. I work in sales and travel all over Germany and Denmark where I search for the best bakery’s to buy some lunch and this is by far the best. I have been here 5/6 times this year and everything I have tried is just delicious you can tell they are true craftsmen and care about what they’re selling tastes incredible.This is a must try in Kolding. I live around 100km away and is worth driving to just for their almond croissants.

This is baking artistry! The Viking rolls are absolutely delicious, and the sourdough spelt rolls are simply irresistible. The selection is extensive and beautifully presented in the display case, which offers a view into the bakery behind it. This contributes to a lovely, cozy atmosphere. The cardamom swirls are highly recommended, as has been mentioned in so many previous reviews.

I came in unpretentious just to buy bread and what a great surprise. This might be over ofv the best bakeries I have ever been to. Try the 🧁🎉

17/09/2026: We (2 adults, one child (one year old) plus dog) were at the restaurant today and were absolutely thrilled. First of all, the waiter was like something you'd find in a 5-star restaurant, giving us excellent advice and fulfilling every extra request. We had the carpaccio and two burgers, and I had one of the best beers I've ever had. The carpaccio was perfect in taste, and the side dishes were unique. You won't find better burgers anywhere in Denmark. Plus, the buns were gluten-free. The beer is (indeed) only available there, as it's the owner's own recipe. Highly recommended, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. We sat outside with the dog under the covered terrace. Our dog was given his own water bowl within seconds, without us even having to ask. Truly fantastic service and amazing food!
13/09/2026: We haven't eaten this well in a long time. The service was excellent and the food absolutely divine. We will come back on our next trip to Denmark!

06/08/2026: Delicious perfectly cooked chicken burger, the bun tastes great! And they are not afraid to put allllll the spicy peppers on top! Sweet potato fries are wonderfully seasoned and I’m obsessed with the garlicky aoili
