Always delicious food and large portions.

Torben Chris og Thomas Hartmann aflagde stedet et visit, der blev sendt i TV. Her blev interessen og opmærksomheden skabt, for undertegnede. De fik deres bøfsandwich, der var karakteristisk med franskbrød som bolle. Så efter måneders ventetid, på min Tripadvisor bucket list, fik jeg endelig muligheden, da jeg skulle på de kanter. Og det skulle ikke skuffe. Bollen af franskbrød var et hit. Mængden af mad og ikke mindst prisen, kan man ikke forvente mere af. Og servicen var i top. God, venlig, opmærksom og høflig betjening. Der både spurgte under og efter, om alt havde været tilfredsstillende. Ligesom der blev sagt tak for besøget og ønsket god weekend. Parkeringsmuligheder lige ved døren. Og pæne og rene lokaler/faciliteter. Kan bestemt anbefales. En skam der ligger “langt fra alting”. :)

Then it was the Løgumkloster Central Hotel that must have tested their famous Børges steak sandwich, which is said to have been the same recipe since 1964, so the expectations are good. Arrived at 11.30 and was received nicely and we ordered straight away, the food was served and presented nicely at the table at 11.52. It looks nice, delicious and inviting and not least smoking hot. Delicious. We are told that if we want more sauce or fries, we just have to say there is more of everything if we are short. WOW that's good service. Børge's steak sandwich is a bit special compared to other steak sandwiches I've tested as it is made up of 2 large pieces of whole milk French bread with bircher, and they taste soft, fresh and delicious. The bottom piece of bread is covered with homemade red cabbage and I was a little afraid that red cabbage would take over the taste, but both quantity and taste are a good taste experience without anything taking over too much. In addition, there is a huge mince steak in it, maybe 220-240 grams, and it tastes great and is fried perfectly. You will also find home-pickled cucumbers which are served on the side, it really tastes great. You also find ketchup, remoulade and roasted onions, which I think are prefabricated, but there is the perfect amount of everything. The sauce tastes like the angels are singing, really a nice sauce with good depth and there was plenty of it and it was hot, so really hot. Although. Last but not least, the whole thing is served with a huge bowl of fries which also tasted great, but I couldn't eat the ones that were plentiful in the steak sandwich. Nice place with really nice people where you feel welcome. The food is loved and we were really positively surprised. Such a giant bandit costs DKK 140, which is more than reasonable. 4.5 stars out of 5 and would recommend everyone to try this steak sandwich. Thanks for the food.

Good steak sandwich, but now it's like tried and tested. It detracts from the fact that it was not possible to order some 'real' children's-sized dishes. In many places you can buy half a portion. Here, the kids can only get fries with nuggets/fish fillet 😬 There was quite a long wait to be allowed to pay. And DKK 40 for a glass of milk, I think that might be on the high side...

Good food. The napkins that were rolled up around our cutlery were full of small curly hairs, I don't know where those hairs came from, but they were quickly replaced and we could enjoy the good food.
