Another very good stop on the trip. The lighthouse and surrounding area offer some great views, and it is definitely worth walking around and taking some time to enjoy the scenery. It was quite busy when we visited, almost to the point of feeling crowded, but still a very enjoyable place to stop.

Beautiful lighthouse. A must-see. There's also a small souvenir shop and hot dogs.

It was fantastic the very rare area in Denmark you can see because Some places look like a desert with white sand. You have to see the area and there is a very good playground for small children with an ice cream kiosk and cafeteria Thank you for everything 👏👏👏

A truly beautiful spot on the Danish west coast! Lyngvig Lighthouse is perfectly situated between the North Sea and Ringkøbing Fjord, offering incredible views of the dunes, sea, and fjord. After climbing the 228 steps, you're rewarded with a stunning panorama – absolutely worth the effort! The surrounding area is also lovely: plenty of nature, a beach nearby, and a small café and shop at the lighthouse. It's ideal for a stroll or a family outing. A real highlight in the Hvide Sande area – we'll definitely be back!

Lyngvig Lighthouse is definitely worth seeing – but you'll need strong nerves for the climb. It's a very narrow spiral staircase with over 200 steps, and you'll encounter other climbers coming from the opposite direction. Dogs are generally allowed, but due to the narrow staircase and the crowds, it's not recommended. At the top of the stairs, you have to climb through a rather narrow hatch to reach the viewing platform. You should be comfortable with heights and reasonably agile – after all, you'll have to climb back down through the hatch later. At the top, you're rewarded with a fantastic view, but be aware that it can be extremely windy. The climb is quite strenuous and a bit of an adventure, but the view makes it absolutely worthwhile!

With a dune height of 55m, it is the tallest Danish lighthouse.

Beautiful lighthouse, but you should definitely have good balance for the climb. From the parking lot, you first have to climb a set of stairs to reach the lighthouse. When it's busy, it can get crowded inside, and you might have to wait in small alcoves. Once you reach the top, you're rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view.

Impressive coastal scenery. Unfortunately, very crowded during peak season.

Great view, but you need to be fit... Book only the ascent; you have to climb through a small hatch at the end to enjoy the incredible view.

Havnekiosken v/ Tommy Vogt

07/08/2026: A nicely situated restaurant serving simple dishes like fries, burgers, hot dogs, and trimmed fish or ice cream. Beautiful view of the fjord and prices are reasonable, especially by Danish standards.
06/08/2026: The hot dog was excellent. We also got a portion of fries. They were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – just how we think they should be. We had beautiful weather and were able to enjoy the terrace with its view of the fjord.

Bork Vikingehavn

21/08/2026: It's a fantastic place and lots of activities for children and young at heart.
21/08/2026: A nice little museum village with Viking-era replicas, easily manageable even for younger children. However, anyone expecting a proper museum with an exhibition of original Viking-era artifacts will be disappointed. For children, there are activities (for an extra charge) such as baking flatbread, archery, and crafting leather bracelets and pouches. To get a glimpse of Viking-era dwellings, stables, a blacksmith's shop, a mill, a church, and boats, I definitely found it worth a visit.
