Having only arrived in Haderslev about an hour after 4 hours of travelling we found CAFE MAD. As seems the norm with Danes in the day & a half we've been here the staff were pleasant, polite & welcoming. We had their version of good old fish & chips - it was gorgeous & plentiful, so much so that my partner had to leave some. We would recommend anyone visiting Haderslev to "hunt down" CAFE MAD - IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. Darren & Dawn from the UK.

Very good food. Great service, although we were quickly told that they were "short on staff". Got the food relatively quickly anyway, and it was incredibly good food. One of the better meals we have had. Nice staff and very accommodating.

11/11/2025: Avocado toast for breakfast was flavorful and fresh. Mocha was delicious. Owner was friendly and attentive. Quaint little place with an extensive menu. English menu available
30/07/2025: Nice place to have brunch, highly recommended. Went with my son, and ordered a Papa's brunch and a kids brunch. Tasted good and was well presented. It's a cozy place, and it's almost always possible to get a seat there. Prices are reasonable and affordable. The toilets were clean and in good condition.

01/01/2026: Bought their New Year's menu which we prepared ourselves with the accompanying instructions. Great menu with the certainty that you won't leave the table hungry. The only small minus was that the accompanying piece of beef fillet was cut a bit sloppy and needed better finishing to remove the last scenes. Otherwise an absolutely fine menu which can be recommended for a cozy New Year's Eve
30/12/2025: The food and service are top class! Really worth a stay (or more).
