Great place with excellent food and a wide selection of craft beers. I tried the local fish with baby potatoes and a creamy sauce with chanterelles, mussels, capers and leeks — absolutely outstanding. Beautiful presentation with caviar on top, which balanced with salt the freshness of fish, both tasty and elegant.

We had a small family wedding party diner at Madbaren 13. The food was exceptionnal, high level of quality and creativity. And the welcoming, and smiling service of Eva was so kind and warmfull. The dîner and ambiance was just perfect ! We greatly recommend this place. All our thanks to Eva, Jonathan and Marek.

The restaurant had a cozy design and good food, for example the langoustine and signature sticky toffee pudding and cookies and cream sundae. The staff were welcoming, cheerful and super helpful. Definitely recommend this if you love desserts or want to try out special western food.

03/09/2025: What a cozy, old-fashioned cafe with a friendly owner and all sorts of goodies you can buy. We had a delicious meal this afternoon. I had the daily special, pictured above, and my wife had breaded fish fillets with fries. Thanks for the good food and the good food, don't eat it yourself, and eat it yourself. 27/07/2025: We were visiting Fredrikshamn and stumbled upon this really nice restaurant. We had 2 children with us, 1.5 years old and 4 years old. We felt incredibly welcome and the food was far beyond expectations. Lovely staff, good service and really nice food. We will come here many more times.
23/07/2025: They had a problem with their system, which caused a delay with our order. We were in a hurry because we had to get to the ferry. They apologized and gave us our food for takeaway and for FREE. We just had the best dinner on the ferry. Thank you!
