Restaurant Review: Maison, Copenhagen Nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, Restaurant Maison offers a delightful escape into the world of classic French cuisine. My colleagues and I had the pleasure of dining there last night, and it was an evening marked by exquisite flavors, attentive service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Menu - White Asparagus & Sauce Mousseline: Our culinary journey began with a seasonal delight—tender white asparagus paired with a rich and velvety sauce mousseline. The dish was a perfect embodiment of simplicity and elegance, showcasing the chef's mastery of traditional French techniques. Complemented by the 2021 Riesling Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr from Domaine Goepp, the pairing was a symphony of freshness and subtlety, enhancing the asparagus's delicate flavors. - Chicken Fricassée: For the main course, we indulged in a Chicken Fricassée, featuring confited chicken and a medley of vegetables, all enveloped in a luscious sauce moutarde. The dish was hearty and comforting, with each element cooked to perfection. The 2022 Sancerre Rouge Pinot Noir from Paul Prieur & Fils was an inspired choice, offering a light, fruity contrast that beautifully balanced the richness of the fricassée. - Baba au Rhum: Our meal concluded with the classic Baba au Rhum, accompanied by rhubarb compote and crème chantilly. This dessert was a delightful end to our evening, with the tangy rhubarb and airy chantilly providing a refreshing counterpoint to the rum-soaked baba. The Experience The ambiance at Maison is charmingly reminiscent of a Parisian bistro, with its elegant decor and cozy setting. The service was impeccable, with the staff demonstrating both knowledge and enthusiasm in guiding us through the menu and wine selections. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience significantly. Maison is a commendable choice for both private and business dinners, offering a sophisticated yet welcoming environment. The combination of classic French cooking, excellent service, and a well-curated wine list makes it a standout destination in Copenhagen’s dining scene. Whether you're a connoisseur of French cuisine or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Maison is sure to impress.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The food was superb. The wine is delicious. The service sublime. And it didn't make the evening any less good that HRH. King Frederik and HRH. Queen Mary dined at the Maison the same evening as us.

Nice but simple and the price is too high The crepe suzette was really bad…

Cool decor, good atmosphere, good food. Main courses approx. DKK 400. Asked for "just a glass of white wine" it was fine. But it just added DKK 180 to the bill. So if you're going to eat here, you have to have the drawing boy in order. Update after last visit: The food is no longer up to par. Got the snails as always but this time they were spat out. The service was also not up to par.

From food to service, a completely luxurious experience

Der er hyggeligt og man sidder godt - og tæt. Vi valgte menuen til kr 450.- 3 retter, vand og glas vine. Maden var da ok, dog var desserten crepe suzette, umådelig kedelig. En karaffel vand kr 70 - så er den da også betalt!! Der var ikke meget engagement hos den ene af de unge tjenere. Der er da heldigvis flere steder man får bedre mad og service for kr 2100.-

The feeling of a slightly understated restaurant, with a simple chain of lights out front, slightly boring location. Fantastically good French food and wine.
