Martinellis Helsingør

One of the few true Italian pizza artists. Maybe the best Pizza in town, I have no doubt. Order with your eyes closed, limeget, everything is Awesome here.. pure 13tal

Without a doubt the best pizza I've ever eaten

Since our other Ynglings pizzaria is unfortunately closed we tried this.. Really good pizza, actually forgot a bit about the "old" place. Nice people

I had met Antonio years back when he had another restaurant in Søborg. Then, on a subsequent visit at that restaurant, he was gone. A few years later (2 years ago) walking down the high street in Helsingør I saw the Martinelli sign and ofc had to try the food... and had a good laugh that we now also owned a Pizzeria 🤣. Talking to the woman behind the counter (turns out Antonio's sister) i got the story and learned that this was their second place. Still had no clue it was the Martinellis from Søborg. Today we went back, unfortunately that small cozy place on the high street no longer exists so we went to the source. As the story unfolds I start talking to Antonio and find out that he is the same guy from back in Søborg... the face seemed familiar but only then all fell into place. Full circle. Anyways. Great place, the food was exactly as one expects from a true Italian place. Scaled down, no 300 page menu, really good thin crust pizza with great toppings... and yes even pineapple (shut up, tastes great, probably only thing our italoamerican cousins got right 🤣). If in Helsingør and in the mood for some Italian pizza/pasta then go to Martinellis. You won't be disappointed. Photos on my next visit.

While visiting the castle, we stopped for lunch at this pizzeria. The place and the people were friendly and welcoming, and the pizza was delicious!
