Milling Hotel Saxildhus Kolding

We felt comfortable. The hotel is clean and nicely furnished. There's even a playroom for children and free soft ice cream, drinks, fruit, and a bit of cake in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet is very good, although we sometimes had to wait for a table because it was so busy. The location is good in Kolding. We would come again.

Old hotel in need of urgent renovation with a very good group of staff, a great location and I suppose competitive prices. I was born in Kolding and when I was a child this was one of the poshest placest in town with a bakery the best in Jutland...no more. I was coming home to attend my farmor's funeral and therefor also a goodbye to Kolding and potentially Denmark. This is why I had to come and stay here. Something I could not afford when it was fine and in it's pomp. The staff really are good and you could not expect more or better service than what I got. The inclusive breakfast was more than adequate - with a very fancy juice machine operated by an ipad screen. My single room was basic but the chairs were actually quite comfortable. Massive window facing the inner courtyard. No aircon, so one night I had to listen to some Germans having very loud converstaions until very late one floor down in a neighbouring building - I suppose not the hotels fault...but with all the emotions from the family event I went back to England absolutely exhausted. If I ever came back to Kolding I could be tempted by a double room and maybe in the spring or autumn, with some cooler temperatures.

Perfect for families! Nice old 19th century charming house, of course old but with charm. Playroom perfect for kids, often ice cream for the kids (holidays), quite cheap but larger and nicer rooms than other hotels nearby.

Fantastic hotel, old-fashioned with charm and romance, yet in excellent condition throughout. Spacious rooms with smart TVs. Lots of extra services, as always, including free coffee, soft serve ice cream, Wi-Fi, fruit, etc. Free parking within walking distance, with loading and unloading right outside. Breakfast was very extensive, everything delicious and fresh, including croissants, donuts, luxury rolls, a fantastic cheese dispenser, bacon sausages, etc.

For cyclists: You can park your bike outside in the secure courtyard; Free coffee and soft ice cream are included in the price; very child- and family-friendly with a dedicated playroom for children; due to the age of the building, the floors can be rather noisy and the proximity to the train station makes it even louder.

We always use this hotel, good location in the middle of the city and always clean and tidy, and friendly service. And good breakfast, and parking nearby.

A bit worn out hotel, but it's very central to the pedestrian zone in Kolding, friendly staff, breakfast is not lacking anything. Such a nice hotel for the price

We booked the suite as a two-day stopover. It was beautifully furnished and perfect for three people. The bathroom was large enough, but it was a bit musty. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The service was very attentive and helpful!
