We have eaten at Namaste in Herning several times, and every time it has been a pleasure from start to finish. The food is always freshly prepared, full of flavour and perfectly balanced – exactly what you dream of when you crave authentic Indian food. The menu has a good selection, so there is something for every taste, and you can tell that the ingredients are of high quality. The portions are generous, and the dishes are always served hot and beautifully presented. The staff are welcoming, friendly and make you feel welcome, regardless of whether you eat in the restaurant or order take away. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and there is a clear passion behind both the food and the service. We will definitely be back many times in the future – it is without a doubt our favorite place for Indian food in Herning!

We were passing through and happened to stop by. The waiter took a lot of time to carefully explain the dishes to us and made good individual recommendations for all of us. The food was clearly made with good ingredients and the many different types of sauces were fabulous. The place itself was very clean and nice.

July 18th.
I visited Namaste in Herning for lunch with a friend, where we both chose their Butter Masala Thali Menu from the tapas menu. It was supposed to be “medium spicy”, but we actually found it to be quite mild.
The menu consisted of:
Papad, onion bhaji, mango lassi, butter masala with chicken (you can also choose paneer), rice, naan bread and dessert. According to the menu it was supposed to be gulab jamun, but instead we were allowed to try their new dessert – kheer, an Indian rice dessert.
The butter masala with chicken tasted really good, especially with rice and the warm naan bread. The papadum was a bit strange to eat, almost like a spicy wafer. Some of the yogurt dressings were not quite to my taste, but the mango lassi yogurt mixture was really delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. And I only got one onion bhaji for starter, but I could have eaten one more.
The best part of the whole meal was the naan bread. It was juicy, lightly spiced and had a really good flavour. Dipping it in the sauce and eating it by folding it around the chicken was a 10/10 experience.
The dessert, kheer, reminded me of a mix between rice pudding and risalamande – something we usually eat for Christmas in Denmark. It could have been a little creamier and with softer rice, but it tasted fine.
I also tried an Indian beer, which was surprisingly refreshing and perfect for the heat.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, but it was clear that they primarily speak English. We managed fine, but for people who don't speak English, it can be a bit of a challenge.
All in all, we had a really good experience. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and they have many vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu.
Lovely food and a very calming atmosphere:)

The food was absolutely delicious! They didn't have any tofu or chickpeas for the chana masala, which was a bit disappointing, but I ended up ordering the mix veg masala and it was lovely. Great service and well made main dishes as well as side dishes.

Decent Indian cuisine. The chicken tikka thali and plain biryani were both quite flavorful
