Today we went to Gamle Rogeri Nexø to buy some fish to take home. Everything on offer looked incredibly appetizing! Given the rather high half-kilo price of the fresh fish, we ultimately opted for cod cakes and smoked mackerel and herring. Delicious! The smoked fish was very mildly smoked and succulent, and the cakes were the most delicious I've ever eaten! They were even gluten-free, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat them. I would have definitely been missing out!

18/7-2026. There were 7 of us eating. The 6 of us had nice food, but the last one had very dry fish cakes. When we mentioned it to the young man serving, he said “that there wasn’t much to be done about it”. I’ve never been in that situation before! I don’t think you can afford to answer like that. 17/07/2026: 5 generations of smokers. Professionals who are passionate about fish and customer experiences. Fresh fish is smoked every day. They start smoking at 3:30 am every night to have fresh products and the experience of the fish being taken out while you eat lunch. Wide selection.
15/07/2026: The smoked fish is so good! We tried the "smoke duet" for two and we both loved it. Unfortunately they were out of herring when we arrived (around 18:30) but we got another smoked mackerel instead. The view overlooking the ocean was lovely. The staff was kind and helpful. There wasn't a kid's menu so the portions were a bit big for a child. Would definitely recommend a visit if you want to eat at a røgeri in Bornholm. The smoked salmon was the best I've ever had! Loved the different sauces as well.

21/07/2026: There is an ok selection in the fish buffet (for a fish buffet), but the quality is generally poor. Surprisingly, the squid rings were the best, but that may be because when we got to dwm our expectations were so low that we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't rubber. Almost 300 kr is way too much. Find a good fish restaurant and have a delicious meal instead.
