#toast 548 — made a trip to Michelin bib gourmand smørrebrød @norrlyst while I was in Copenhagen and had a lovely window seat. been preferring sparkling water during my time there and let me just say their sparkling water was indeed very bubbly and crispy… amazing… one of the best sparkling waters I’ve had. i think when it comes to herring, I hear that people feel like it would taste “fishy” but i think because smorrebrod is served cold, the fishiness usually goes away + especially with the complementary yuzu flavor, that slight acid acts as a sort of sweetener and neutralizes the overall balance in my opinion. personally i find microgreens quite “annoying” to structure into a bite, but it is good presentation wise. follow @nomkakaii on instagram for toast travels!

A truly positive experience, we had booked a table and went in to have a few dishes, we were greeted by friendly and smiling staff, a cozy little place, not just once but twice there was extra delicious bread for the table, we were the only Danish-speaking customers that day, which everyone had a good laugh about, we also met the new daily manager who kindly invited us back and told us there would be many new and exciting initiatives, really good food and really good service, definitely worth the visit, thank you!

What a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door until we left the restaurant! Our waiter – a young, attentive and energetic girl – provided top-notch service. She was fresh and cheerful, but in just the right way: present without being too intrusive. We really appreciated that! There were a few small disappointments in terms of drinks, as some of the things we asked for were unfortunately not available. However, this did not change the overall experience, which was still really good. The food was definitely not disappointing – every single dish tasted delicious, and although it was not a full Michelin experience, everything was complete, well-prepared and tasty. The portions were appropriate and filling, and the pace of service was absolutely perfect – we did not feel stressed or pressured to hurry, even though you only have the table for about two hours. We only had to ask for bread once, and that was actually the only thing we could put our finger on. Everything else was handled quickly and kindly. Yes, the restaurant is a bit crowded, and the noise level can be loud – but we were able to drown out the “noise” and enjoy the company. We sat really nicely at the corner table, so it ended up being quite cozy anyway. The dessert was a bit disappointing, though. I missed a little more sweetness and crispness – perhaps caramelized apple pieces could provide a good balance between the sweet and crisp and lift the dish up a level. The place itself could do with a little refreshing, especially the toilet, which showed signs of wear and tear. But that doesn’t change the fact that we had a really nice experience.

Very good restaurant, especially the main dish were very tasty. Only the scallops in Daishi was tasteless, but all the rest was amazing.

Small restaurant that I visited during Dining Week. Super good food, good service and a cozy atmosphere. I'm going back here to try a regular dinner.
