Atmospheric place. Restaurant on a canal in a 17th century port. Very tasty meatballs. New potatoes are very tasty. And in a variety of pickles there is herring. Thank you ❤️

Nyhavns Faergekro was our first stop off the plane in Coppenhagen and it was an amazing start to our trip - amazing to be able to sit outside under twinkly lights in the sunshine by the canal watching the boats, people watching and just generally soaking up the atmosphere with the overhead heaters and heaters next to the table so we could sit out even though the outside temperature was under 5 degrees! We chose open sandwiches to share, very generous portions of salmon and crab, and a lovely glass of wine!

Lovely place with traditional Dannish food. Affordable prices + good food quality. Staff was really welcoming and speaks English.

In an elegant old-fashioned wooden decor and in a quiet and cozy atmosphere (discreet jazzy background music), you can enjoy its excellent buffet (only offered at lunchtime, until 3 p.m.) of marinated herrings available in 10 different ways , accompanied by potatoes, radishes, wholemeal bread, etc. for a small price. The service is as attentive as it is kind. Terrace directly overlooking the pier where the boats are moored. Worth the detour!

A fantastic place where you can try all the most traditional Danish dishes in mini portions on a buffet. I especially recommend the herring in curry sauce - a taste completely unknown to me before, and as a fan of this fish, I really liked it!

Estive hoje aí dia 20 de dezembro de 2023, e a atmosfera do local é legal, toca jazz, eu perguntei a garçonete e ela me disse que sim era um restaurante self-service ou a la carte, como aqui na Europa raramente encontramos self-service e já era 3 horas da tarde, eu resolvi sentar para comer, mas francamente me parece que o tempero de um dos peixes era molho agridoce de maçã e canela, e eu estou com estômago enjoado até agora, não combinou os sabores. E olha que já tomei refrigerante pra tentar digerir, tem algo estranho. Mas o peixe grelhado era delicioso. Eu tirei foto das descrições dos itens que eu servi e comi para anexar junto a essa avaliação. Paguei o equivalente a 200 DKK incluindo a gorjeta, o que é barato pela região e por comer a vontade. Vi que a cozinheira era muçulmana, e bem tímida parecia.

On a dry but cold evening, the outside seating was great. I had the selection of herrings, which i can heartily recommend.
