We wanted to try the smørrebrød. They were good, but not exceptional. Around €100 for two open-faced sandwiches, a Wiener schnitzel (too dry), and four drinks. That's quite expensive for what it was.

Wonderful little café to duck into on a chilly morning

We only had two drinks, a lemonade and a water, for €15. Typical Danish prices.

Food is good enough but prices are actually ridiculous. $19 for a single slice of bread with avocado and a couple toppings. I know this is a touristy area but come on! For that price I at least expected two pieces of bread.

Had a fantastic time celebrating a birthday at the all-you-can-eat cake buffet! At least 10 choices, as well as a little fruit. Honestly the bottomless cups of tea/coffee/hot chocolate were a highlight on a rainy day. Highly recommend!

The buffet was missing potatoes, and yes, it was very spicy. It has local flavors.

My sister and I loved our meal here, in June on our first day in Copenhagen! The kale and lentil salad was fresh and the nova salmon was fantastic. The bread was the highlight— it was outstanding! You can’t beat the location right on the canal. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. Overall I highly recommend!

The place is nice, with an old-fashioned style and the option of outdoor seating. For starters, two adults and two children ordered the gravlax and the Danish chicken and asparagus vol-au-vents (in a white sauce). The gravlax was good, but the vol-au-vents were nothing special; I doubt the shells were homemade. Then we tried the Danish meatballs served with blanched cabbage in a white sauce and very al dente new potatoes. However, my daughter really enjoyed the burger. So, I must say I wasn't entirely convinced. The service, on the other hand, was impeccable.

Even though our group of 32 people descended on the lovely dining room of the restaurant, the staff was unhurried and competent and the food was incredible. I loved that the manager told us the history of the building. For my first day in Copenhagen, I will always have fond memories of this restaurant.
