Had the 8-course. First impression is a cosy basement space (with no noted unpleasant odors as some have mentioned), evenly spaced seating and good acoustic - not the Copenhagen-brand "intimate" spacing which means you're staring people in the face as they sit next to you and everyone is shouting over their food to be heard by their partners.
We recognized the only (very busy but very polite and calm) server from a previous visit, and he introduced himself as the owner.
The first dish was three separate crunchy delicacies that were definitely worth the difference already between the 8- and the 6-course! I was hooked. We proceeded to lose track of all time and place as tasty dishes came with 15 minute precise gaps and proper introductions. We ordered the sake mojito and were impressed at the kitchen's skill in bringing out the best flavors of sake with this refreshing drink. Each dish brought familiar flavor and skill from Asia but with plenty of European and Nordic inspiration. A true delight to visit and eat here, definitely amongst the best fusion, and best restaurants in Copenhagen.

I've been here a handful of times and usually order the 8 course set. I've never been disappointed and honestly feel this restaurant is the best quality for price you can get in Copenhagen.
The set has a really good variety and is excellently prepared. During my last visit, the truffle tortellini, sake halibut, and shiso porchetta were to die for! I also ordered the sake mojito, and it was super refreshing and delicious :)
The restaurant is cozy, and the owner and staff are really sweet and attentive. I highly recommend visiting, and I'll definitely be back!

Overall, we had a lovely evening at Uma, but the wow factor was a bit missing. The food was good, the wine pairing wasn't particularly memorable. Other restaurants in the same price range offer better options. Service was friendly. The atmosphere could definitely be improved a bit. Although there are no specific points of criticism, it does seem thrown together and a bit loveless

Always a good place to visit. The food is Japanese but with Nordic inspiration. The wine menu is always a really good buy. The service is very present, knowledgeable and friendly. A place I have visited several times and always left satisfied.

Nice fusion restaurant, we ate 8 servings of the tasting menu, which was really good and very exciting, can definitely be recommended if you want to try a nice Japanese restaurant.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant with a Nordic twist. Good service. We tried a menu with 6 servings and got around the Japanese food universe well. It was exciting to taste how Nordic produce can be combined with Japanese produce and taste. The Nordic ingredients that Uma uses are of the highest quality and raised the experience to something very special
