Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset Tårnby

20/03/2026: Copenhagen Airport Terminal 2 Lagkagehuset (Ole & Steen), one of my favourite bakery chains in and outside the UK, the pastries, cakes and coffee are always good, and every branch seems busy, especially at the airport. The only let down is the seating area and bins, which often feel a bit untidy and messy. I know the staff work hard and are constantly busy, but the tables really need clearing, and customers often end up wiping and clearing them themselves.

15/03/2026: We visited this Lagkagehuset branch at the airport. Despite a slightly longer wait, the visit was positive overall. Of course, it's a larger bakery chain with locations throughout Denmark, but the quality is pleasingly consistent. The bread, pastries, and coffee are reliably good and seem freshly prepared. Especially at the airport, where the selection of truly good bakeries is rather limited, Lagkagehuset is definitely a good option. If you're looking for something decent for breakfast, a snack, or coffee, you can't go wrong here. Even if it takes a while, the visit is worthwhile – primarily because of the consistently solid quality. We would definitely stop by again and can therefore highly recommend this bakery.
