Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We have also been there for a port wine tasting for beginners, which was very interesting and entertaining with Birk as a committed facilitator. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced with a well-chosen composition of bottles. Reasonable prices and fantastic that there is a port wine bar in Copenhagen. Also quite good prices if you want to buy port wine to take home.

Best service I have ever had! The waiters are young, but wise and very good at taking care of less experienced customers. Very high quality in both products and service!

Great bar if you are into port wine. Great knowledge about what you are served. Great selection from different houses, and they are always ready to make good suggestions for port wine according to your taste.

I invited my friends for a private port wine tasting at Portvinsbaren to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was fantastic from start to finish. We were 17 people tasting 4 ports, with two more joining halfway through, which was handled effortlessly with generous pours of port. Birk was an overall great host, knowledgeable, and great at creating an informal, enjoyable vibe. Even after the tasting, we were able to keep the tables, order more port, and Birk continued to present the wines with the same enthusiasm. Highly recommended.
