Prinsebroen Ærø

We were looking for something light and authentic for a quick lunch. The salmon salad here was wonderful paired with rye bread and a wholesome local beer! It was a beautiful spring day, so we stayed outside looking out on the water. We also had a nice visit with the owner. The vintage quilts folded on the benches for chillier days added charm and warmth!

If you like smoked fish, this is the place for you. Right on the harbor with a view of the ships, whether with children or a dog, you can sit outside and relax and enjoy the food, the weather and the view. The food was exactly my thing, the Prinsebroen platter and the salad bowl were very tasty, beautifully prepared and, as we thought, plentiful.

Finally we found what we had come to look for in Denmark...quality seafood products! We recommend the 190dkk board without hesitation. Each piece comes with a different sauce/cream. THANKS!

Four of us ordered the Prinzenplatte. It was very varied with hot or cold smoked fish and there was even smoked shrimp. None of us had eaten these before and they were very good. The snaps (schnapps) made from beach herbs that we ordered were also delicious; they are probably also made in the area. The extra fries were definitely over the top. The bread was very good, very fluffy and very plentiful. A little bit of butter isn't really needed, but it would have been a good thing for me. The service was very good, even German-speaking, and you could tell that the staff enjoyed their job. There is also a bit of space for children to play around the shark. You look at the blue ship on the quay wall and sit outside under the umbrellas in front of the snack bar. This snack bar was a very good choice, we would like to come back.

Excellent food, but a bit expensive for the quality. Tried the fish meatball, smoked year, sandwich with salmon rillette and fish burger.
