We had their blue cheese snack, probably the best cheese I've ever tasted.

My boyfriend and I just want a beer. The IPA is gone, but we get a Bingo Gringo on tap instead – organic and from Bornholm, perfect. Then we hear piano from inside. It’s not just background music – it’s something that makes me want to step closer. The notes flow out through the door, melancholic and beautiful. It reminds me of Ludovico Einaudi. I go in to listen. The bartender – the guy with the nice afro who just poured our beer – is sitting at the piano. “Is that Ludovico?” I ask. “No, it’s Swedish House Mafia,” he replies. I laugh a little at the absurd contrast. “But I can play some Ludovico,” he says and switches without hesitation to one of those pieces that makes time stand still. Suddenly we’re not just at a harbor bar in Gudhjem – we’re a place where a bartender can transform into a pianist and create one of those moments you remember. It's not every day you get to experience something like this. That someone can just switch from pouring beer to serving pure emotion on 88 keys. Thanks for the music, Provianten. And yes, for the beer too.
