31/08/2025: The best of the Halifax chain, and the staff deserve kudos for service and quality of food - despite the menu being the same as the other places, here it's just better - sharper and smarter service, better salads, nicer tasting & better presented, with a nicer ambience - this is THE Halifax to frequent (and I do, having tried them all often). Bravo.
24/08/2025: Halifax Valby is a nice fast food place. The decor is modern.
We had booked a table, but there was no time when it was full. I don't know if it is necessary to book a table or not (busy), but when possible, it is a good way to ensure that there is room for your party.
The service was very satisfactory and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Regarding the food, I tried the following.
Burger: Lone Star burger (extra: with fried egg) - Price: 139 kr.
250 grams of steak, bbq sauce, 2 x cheddar, bacon, lettuce, onion and aeoli. It is a rich and delicious burger that I can highly recommend, especially to anyone who likes a burger with lots of meat. A solid 4 out of 5.
Chicken Tenders. Grilled chicken, which is nothing special, but goes well with a dip. I probably wouldn't choose them again. So it can't be more than 2.5 out of 5.
Chicken wings. These are very spicy, with a spicy buffalo sauce. Can definitely be felt on the tongue, and I can recommend a milder sauce or milkshake on the side. I would give them 3.5 out of 5.
Spicy fries. They are a bit more interesting than regular fries, and are just a little spicy. They go well with most of their dressings, especially chipotle. 3 out of 5, a little above average.
Zurich burger - Price: 149 kr.
A delicious burger and a little less traditional. 150 grams of steak, goat cheese, chili-grilled mushrooms, bacon, pickled red onions, aeoli, salad and topped with a potato rösti, with herbs and dill. Another solid 4 out of 5.
Hali' Berry milkshake - Price: 45 (small) / 65 (large)
Strawberry and vanilla milkshake. It's creamy and cold, with a fairly strong strawberry flavor. Not the best milkshake I've tasted, but above average, so 3.5 out of 5.
It's worth a visit and I'd happily eat at Halifax again. The prices are on the high end (if you don't have a 'deal') if you see it as a fast food place, but as a restaurant where you typically eat, drink and chat, i.e. if you're there for 1-2 hours, then the prices are very reasonable.
