Quist Wine v/Lene Quist Berggreen Aalborg

A lovely place to relax with a glass of wine and a cheese or charcuterie board. Great atmosphere, great service and wonderful staff! Highly recommended.

I had asked Kim from Quist Wine to set the framework for this year's Christmas lunch at the men's club. Let me just start by saying that I am extremely pleased with the event on Saturday. Kim has set the bar high with the level of service and general excellence he has pioneered over the years. So my expectations were high, but they were met to that extent, and it was just a huge pleasure. Surroundings: Hard to beat the beautiful, atmospheric surroundings of the cozy Cantina. Good space and comfortable with "privacy", despite the fact that later in the evening other companies came in there. It worked really well. Staff: Wow, huge pat on the back to both primary host Thomas who expertly guided us through the wines, and to Jeppe who took over later. Both guys were fabulous at quickly capturing the "mood" around the table and coming up with expert and often funny ping pong. It is not the easiest maneuver in the world as a host, having to communicate both to wine geeks and people with different degrees of wine interest. But they also managed that with bravura. Also kudos to the rest of the staff who were at work, for constantly making sure we were happy and not missing anything. Food: Delicious Italian specialties, bread, sausage, etc. And there was enough of that to lay a good foundation before the actual wine tasting. And the food later in the evening was also excellent and suited the company well. Everyone was happy. Wines: Perfect! Great pleasure to taste our way through a well-chosen line-up, from excellent francicorta to the absolutely fantastic Leuta wines that just always perform. Great to taste Gini's take on an Italian pinot noir, which really took cones around the table. The same also applied to Leuta's Cabernet Franc, which was once again the best wine of the evening (as always)... And then it was great to be allowed to taste an upgraded Bussola Amarone. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It all just played out and I got excellent feedback from the other people in my group.

It was a great evening with a couple of friends at Quist Vinbar. The knowledge that the staff had about the wines we got was very extensive and it was therefore really exciting to learn about the areas and the people who have produced the good drops.

Lovely wine bar in Aalborg, with a focus on quality Italian wines. The owners have good control over the operation and you feel special when you enter. The rest of the staff lacks a bit.

It's like sitting in Italy. Fantastic staff. Thomas and Jeppe - 10 out of 5 stars.
