Restaurant Aro Odense

We had a really lovely evening at [Café Name] yesterday. The atmosphere was super cozy – soft lighting, comfortable chairs and that real Danish café vibe. The waiters were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I had the roast pork with parsley sauce and potatoes – it was perfectly cooked, crispy and juicy, and the sauce was just like mom used to make it (high praise!). My wife had the grilled salmon with seasonal vegetables, and she said it was the best she had eaten in months. The portions were nice, the prices were reasonable, and the wine we were recommended was a perfect match. We left feeling full and happy – we will definitely be back! 5 out of 5 stars 🌟

The best dining experience I've had to date. Supreme cooking and a wine menu that was perfectly matched to the individual dishes. The venue is kept in the original style of the old workshop which helps make Aro something quite unique. A huge recommendation from here.

On the occasion of our 20th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday we were at Aro, this was our second visit the first time was shortly before they got their first Michelin star and it was a really delicious experience, so expectations were at their highest. This time they hit a little bit outside the Bulls eye. We had both ordered Store Aro, so a 7 course wine menu with “snacks” and coffee with the most beautiful little “bites” to go with it. The food and wine are super super delicious except for the dish. Beetroot with hazelnuts. Baba ganoush and Funen truffle. The acid dominated and drowned out the rest and the truffle, even though no effort was made on it, could not be tasted at all, the consistency of the dish made it difficult to eat with just a spoon and fork. There was also a small double mistake from the waiter. They serve the most delicious bread and butter, when we order another round of it at the request of the waiter, no butter comes with it, when we order bread again, this order is forgotten. These are all minor things, but when you pay 2000 kr/envelope, it has to play flawlessly. Defoe, there can't be 5 stars this time.

Truly a fantastic experience. We were 5 people and everyone had the big Aro with 7 courses. It was absolutely delicious, and the wines were perfectly matched to the food. The service was also top notch.
