We had the opportunity to dine at the Backhaus restaurant during our visit to Ribe (May 2024), and it was a nice discovery. The setting is charming, combining a rustic and cozy atmosphere, typical of the region, with a friendly welcome and efficient service. In terms of cooking, it’s simple and efficient. The dishes are generous, delicious and highlight local products. It's good, and in terms of quality/price ratio, nothing to complain about. A great address!

Nous avons eu l'occasion de dîner au restaurant Backhaus lors de notre passage à Ribe (mai 2024), et ce fut une sympathique découverte. Le cadre est charmant, alliant une ambiance rustique et cosy, typique de la région, avec un accueil convivial et un service efficace. Côté cuisine, c’est simple et efficace. Les plats sont généreux, gourmands et mettent en valeur des produits locaux. C’est bon, et niveau rapport qualité / prix rien à redire. Une chouette adresse !

Good juicy roast pork but was sad that it was absolutely not a roast pork sauce that was served and that the rinds were not crispy.
Had apple cake for dessert which was really good.

Had dinner here, nice area outside at the back, it wasn't heaving with people. Service was therefore fine, friendly staff. Ordered fillet steaks, prices were fair for the cut, however I did ask for a rare steak and got a very overdone piece, I wouldn't mind but it was very chewy, I'm fairly sure it wasn't fillet, to make things worse we were given no steak knives! And in this case we would have been better off with angle grinders. regardless it was not great and when you pay for high end cuts you at least want to enjoy that! Wouldn't return for the food it was plain average and in this regard it was disappointing also.
