Restaurant Grønttorvet Odense

To make a short story. They had 2 people in the kitchen so we decided to order a pizza. Because it would take more than an hour. The waiter did his utmost. And the terrace is lovely. If you have time, sit down.

Almost nothing is cheap in Denmark. But traditional, cozy, and delicious is definitely possible. At first, it wasn't easy for me to understand the menu in English, but our super-friendly server was Polish, like my wife, and it worked out. The variety of flavors was definitely the winner here!

My first time having Wienerschnitzel with brown butter. I like how crispy and flavored it is. Reasonable price and big portion. The waiters are super nice and helpful.

One of the few remaining pubs with the original atmosphere. Good food at reasonable prices and cozy surroundings.

The restaurant was very quaint with an old world charm and character. We had a reservation but there were tables available on a Tuesday evening. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the 2 course seasonal special splitting the appetizers and dessert and it was plenty. Portions are large. The scallops appetizer with cucumber and dill cream fresh was delightful and enough for 2. We both had the lamb main course which was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. It came with carrots, onions and fried mash potato balls. The rhubarb panacotta was delightful and again enough to share. We're glad we had dinner here.

Small but so cozy place. The nice ladies were quick and efficient. Food came super quickly, even though it was well stocked. Super good food.

Helt klassisk wienerschnitzler med god størelse på , smørstegte kartofler, ærter og smørsovs, og selvfølgelig en “dreng” på toppen👌🏼 det hele ledsaget af øl, snaps. en gammeldags æblekage til dessert. Betjeningen er også værd at fremhæve: altid imødekommende og professionel servering 👌🏼 Hyggelig og meget klassisk dansk restaurant, som altid er et besøg værd.

Skøn middag i hyggelige omgivelser. Vi havde bestilt maden på forhånd, hvilket kan anbefales. Høflig og hurtig betjening. Der var helt sikkert indkaldt ekstra mandskab til en travl aften - alt optaget. To af os fik Stegt flæsk, en ret der skal bestilles før. Smagte dejligt og mere end rigeligt. Nabobordet blev lidt misundelig, da de læste det var en ret der skulle bestille forud. En fik to retters menu med bl.s en helt fantastisk torske forret. Sidste person fik Grønttorvets berømte tarteletter og de var fortræffelige. Derudover fik vi en skøn Irish Coffee. Så vi må sige vi kom igennem flere retter. Personalet er meget opmærksomme på om du mangler noget fx vand. Kommer gerne igen.
