I ate 2 sandwiches, smoked eel and raw steak.
The eel was really good with scrambled eggs on it, 3 generous pieces made it feel affordable despite the price of 170 DKK.
The raw steak was mixed together and it was also good, I think the price was around 150 DKK. The restaurant in the harbor environment is recommended for celebrating something special.

Cozy restaurant by the harbor, with a good atmosphere and a waiter who really knows how to serve.
We had a Chilean Wagyu steak with homemade bearnaise which was well-done and tasted fantastic.
The dessert was the chef's own interpretation of an apple cake, which was the crowning glory.

We got a delicious moulles frit which I traditionally look for on my birthday. and even though we had been looking forward to dessert we couldn't squeeze it down. The only thing I thought was that after reading that there was supposed to be lemongrass in it and hearing how good the marinade was - I was a little disappointed that we couldn't taste any lemongrass, and had hoped for a little more power in the taste, I got the feeling that it might have been a little thinner. (We had also booked a table for an hour before the kitchen closes on a Thursday. But it still tasted delicious. And the service was top notch! You really felt comfortable.

Really good experience with fried pork ad libitum at Restaurant Kaj. The pork from Ladegaard Duroc really tastes of something — crispy, juicy and of an above-average quality. Parsley sauce, potatoes and side dishes were right in the cupboard, and they were replenished continuously.
Great praise also for the focus on animal welfare. For 225 kr. it's hard to put your finger on anything. Highly recommended.
We had overlooked that there is no á la carte on Wednesday evening, as everything is about pork, but the fantastic staff conjured up a fish fillet with fries, so everyone was happy — even those who weren't into fried pork.
Fantastic location right on the waterfront. It's busy on Wednesdays, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.
Remember to book a table — most people in Helsingør and the surrounding area know that this is the best fried pork in town.
Without a doubt the best roast pork I've had without being in the kitchen myself. A little on the salty side — but that's just my taste.

Went for a pork roast ad libitum evening with four other adult men. We got three servings (one bowl of pork at a time, about 2-3 slices per adult) spread over two and a half hours. Our order was forgotten a couple of times, and we had to remind them. The pork was ok, but the quality varied a lot between servings. They ran out of beetroot after the second serving. The parsley sauce was ok, but all salt was missing. The heat had gone off when we arrived, which they fixed after about 20-30 minutes.
All in all, a boring experience.

Fried pork ad libitum tasted good - unfortunately we had a bad experience with the service. It didn't really work. We were up several times because they had forgotten us or downgraded us. Not suitable for a group.

Good and delicious homemade food.
The huge Christmas buffet, but one thing is a bit of a letdown, we were a party of 32 people and not everyone could get a piece of duck as there wasn't enough for everyone.
Otherwise a really good experience. 🤌
