Refined restaurant space, with classic decor. Located on Nikolaj Plads, which in the 19th century housed the city's butchers' market. This was popularly known as “Maven”, which is the Danish word for “stomach”. The restaurant offers a wide range of culinary delights. A good terrace.

It's a fantastic restaurant located in an old church. It's an awesome place to have nice food and a pleasant night. A have to visit restaurant in Copenhagen!

Very nice modern Nordic food with very cozy interior and environment especially in the evening. The restaurant showed understanding when we called we were running late and were able to rebook us for a later time which we highly appreciate. We had some tartare, beet meringue, and salmon as starters- all were very nice but especially the tartare and the meringue. For main we went with cod and artichokes and were very happy with it too.

It was a perfect evening, with great food, fine wine and friendly service!

They don't really cater for people who don't drink alcohol. Literally, you only get some lemon juice in water.

What a welcome, 'hyggelig' refuge from the bitter cold (though brilliant sunshine) last Saturday. Entering the restaurant is like stepping back in time. Maven is located in an old, deconsecrated church building – St Nicholas' Church – now a great contemporary art venue. The decor of the restaurant is antique with beamed ceilings and big wooden cabinets for glasses. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is superb – among the best Danish smørrebrød (open sandwiches) we've ever had! We have made a note to return here for dinner in the summer, when there's also the option of sitting outside on their cobbled terrace. What's also great is that, while near Strøget (the busy pedestrian street), it is also isolated in a charming quiet square.

Je ne mets pas facilement 5/5, mais dans ce cas, c'est parfaitement justifié. Le repas était délicieux, le cadre est très agréable & unique, et nos serveuses étaient absolument parfaites, au petits soins et très flexibles vis-à-vis de notre grand groupe. Je ne peux que recommander ce restaurant !
