An unforgettable meal at Nerd At the idyllic Søsportshavn in Frederikshavn is a gem of a restaurant that has won my heart: Nerd. The staff are both professional and friendly and are always ready to help. It is clear that they love their work and it rubs off on the guests. I myself have had the pleasure of tasting their famous shooting star several times, and each time it has been an extraordinary taste experience. The fresh ingredients and the creative preparation are in a class of their own. I've eaten shooting stars in many places, but none compare to Nerd. It is simply the best I have ever tasted. I was so excited when I first visited the restaurant that I could hardly believe that it was possible to make such a perfect shooting star. But every time I return, the quality is just as high. In short: Nerd is a restaurant that deserves all the praise it receives. If you are looking for a culinary experience out of the ordinary, then Nerd is just the right place for you. I've had the pleasure of tasting their famous Stjerneskud (open-faced sandwiches) several times, and each time has been an extraordinary culinary experience. The fresh ingredients and creative preparation are in a class of their own. I've eaten Stjernskud many places, but none can compare to Nerd. It's simply the best I've ever tasted. I was so thrilled when I first visited the restaurant that I could hardly believe it was possible to make such a perfect smørrebrød. But every time I return, the quality is just as high. We have eaten several times at this unique pearl, located in beautiful surroundings by the water. NerD'ed experimental dishes, where taste and quality ingredients are successfully complimented. Bestilt bord lørdag aften til 19.00, middag med venner. Blev taget godt imod og anvist vores plads. Menukort på bordet, en ung ny tjener. Godt menukort med både a’la carte og faste menuer. Alle retter så spændende ud. Vi valgte a’la carte. Til forret, Snekrabbesalat, graved laks og carpaccio. Til hovedret Ribeye steak og stegt Lange filet (fisk). Alt veltilberedt og spændende variationer med fint tilbehør. Til dette fik vi vin fra kortet hhv. Faiveily Chardonnay og en Baberea fra Piemonte. Begge gode vine til 5-600,- / flaske. Alle valgte dessert og kaffe. Fin og imødekommende opmærksomhed ved bordet, kokken/køkkenchefen var lige ude og give en lille forklaring om én af retterne, sympatisk og smilende. Helt klart unge tjenere, som har fritidsjobs hér, så giv dem en chance - de gør deres bedste. Maden er god, servicen er hurtig og opmærksom. Alt andet er i småtingsafdelingen. Vi kommer selvfølgelig igen!

Om det er skaldyr, fisk eller en god bøf er det vel tilberedt og serveret. Og man skal huske at tillade sig at slutte af med en dessert. Skaldyr og champagne skal bare prøves.
