We had a fantastic experience at Plates. The waiter gave us an extra special wine experience, I can only recommend Plates if you want a wonderful evening with really delicious food and a fantastic view of Esbjerg on the 17th floor

Absolutely fantastic experience! Without a doubt the best restaurant in the Esbjerg, Varde, Ribe area (probably the best we've had in Denmark). I HIGHLY recommend Plates - even if you have to drive a little further for it. (Brunch, Lunch & Dinner). The food, the atmosphere and the view are definitely worth a visit!

I think they should invest in another waffle iron, which constantly beeped when it had to be turned after 3 minutes. Otherwise a nice place, nice staff and fantastic view.

The food was overall good, but not quite the quality the restaurant makes it out to be. There was quite a wait and our snack on the monthly menu was not what was on the card.

01/03/2026: Absolutely exceptional experience! Got a huge "Bertha's steak" which was flambéed at the table by the sweet waiter. Tasted excellent, and there was no doubt that the ingredients were of the best quality. (See attached picture). Super cozy atmosphere, and even though the restaurant was full, it was easy to talk to the others at your own table. The waiters' performance was also top notch. Easy to park at the large parking garage right across the street. All in all, a really good experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

27/05/2026: A very interesting concept for an American-style restaurant in Denmark. It’s a bit expensive but worth it if you are hungry and want to pig out  (or if you wish to just enjoy some tasty American food). The all-you-can-eat salad bar was always stocked with tasty fresh food. Pretty cool that can you get more potatoes & fries for free. This is the first place I have ever seen that beer refills are at a reduced price (soft drink refills are free). We ate here twice during our 10-day vacation in Denmark.
24/05/2026: Too long a wait both for ordering and for food delivery, about 90 minutes
