We just held our golden wedding anniversary in the restaurant and it was a really good experience, super delicious food, smiling, helpful and competent waiters and not least an owner who really puts his guests first. We can only recommend this place if you are going to have a party, and the view is not bad either.

Very popular restaurant even during the weekday lunchtimes when we visited which is a testament to the food and location by the water. Range of traditional danish options of high standard and béers from the local brewery

The Toldboden restaurant was a truly pleasant surprise. I booked for dinner, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The chef's attention to detail is evident in his choice of ingredients and his pursuit of a balance between tradition, creativity, and quality. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat well, savor local specialties, and enjoy a culinary experience with meticulous attention to detail. The dishes are elegantly presented and served with care and professionalism. If possible, I recommend trying multiple courses to fully appreciate the kitchen's work. I've also been told that the menu changes regularly, which makes each visit potentially different and interesting. The location contributes to making the experience even more special: the restaurant is located in a beautiful part of town, near the pier. After dinner, it's pleasant to stroll along the harbor, soaking up the atmosphere, and, with a little luck, even spotting a passing dolphin. I recommend it to anyone who loves good food and is open to new experiences.

My friend and I both ordered a Paris steak. My friend's was perfectly cooked with a pink center, while mine was unfortunately overcooked with a hard edge and gray inside - or maybe it was more like cooked twice.
