Lovely inn with good food. We were in the square outside the inn to listen to a concert. The last one during this year's jazz festival.

Went to Rørvig Kro last night in the company of dear friends. Not only was the food exquisite but the serving was extraordinarily good. Staff that listens and hears their guests, and accommodates to the limits of what is possible for both children and adults. Expensive but a night to remember 👌🏻

One of Odsherred's best eateries, still. A review is a snapshot, and we were curious to see if the standard still holds up after reading some less good reviews. Young staff? Yes, but still professional and dedicated. High price? Yes, but not unreasonable for the good experience. Good and varied wine list 1. Orzo Pasta was super good, recommended 2. Milk poached halibut - 👍recommended 3. Rhubarb w/ice cream sandwich 💕recommended No slouch, we are still regulars, thanks for the food. Rørvig Kro is a safe choice - but try it for yourself.

We got something a little different from the lunch menu. It was all super delicious. The service is fantastic, happy, smiling and friendly and everyone was on the floor. It's not cheap at the inn but the quality is high. Vh Niels Carlsen

A lovely meal. Started with a fresh currant/lemon with gin aperitif. Was very surprised when the waiter asked if we wanted more of the main course. Plenty of food beautifully served and great flavors together. Recommended

08/02/2026: If you can ignore the worn appearance and somewhat tasteless decor, the place is, as my 15-year-old said, "a hidden gem!" We chose to have an early dinner to pass the time before taking the ferry and were greeted by friendly and service-minded staff. With expectations based on the appearance of the place, we ordered Wienerschnitzel and fish fillet with French fries, but were both very pleasantly surprised. The food came quickly and was piping hot, the schnitzel was made of veal, the potatoes were homemade and both were perfectly fried, and there was a nice portion of peas and good sauce. The fish was homemade breaded and the fries were crispy. So all in all, the place is proof that you should never judge a book by its cover. Because as my son muttered with his mouth full of good fries: "It's the food that counts!"

16/02/2026: I came home from Sri Lanka. Minus 10 degrees. Stopped by this restaurant and had a really tasty and authentic spicy Butter Chicken. Wow! Plus Naan bread and proper well-cooked rice. I can definitely recommend that. The prices are also decent even though they are almost the same in DKK as in LKR... So you have to do the math yourself 🙏
16/10/2025: Great family-friendly Indian (with western options) restaurant in Vig! Vig is a lovely small town, and this restaurant is a real gem. Although it serves Italian and other Western dishes too, we visited mainly for the Indian food — and it was fantastic! Our family loved the flavorful curries. My teenagers couldn’t get enough of the butter chicken and naan, and we really enjoyed the spicy mutton curry. Even our 7-year-old was happy with chicken nuggets and fries — so everyone found something they liked. Despite being a quiet holiday time with just a handful of people around town, the restaurant was lively, with several Danish guests dining in and picking up takeout. The interior has beautiful statues of Hindu gods, giving it a very inviting and authentic atmosphere. We were staying in Holbæk (vacation stay), about a 30-minute drive away, and it was absolutely worth the trip. As a bonus, the road to Vig is wonderfully scenic! And friendly owner.
